Our Staff

Teaching the Professionals

ISSA endeavours to uphold those values that are acceptable to a moral society. We aim at guiding our pupils into becoming balanced, well-mannered, moral citizens who have self-respect, as well as respect for others, who are confident, caring, happy, resourceful and self-disciplined. These values form an integral part of our weekly theme.

Instilling into each individual learner a sound ethical and moral attitude, based on the values of love, justice, compassion, respect, care, acceptance and tolerance. Developing and implementing a curriculum of  excellence and set the highest standards of work and behaviour for all pupils. Being professional in allocation, review and return of pupils’ work.

ISSA recognises the need to enable, empower and allow all ISSA students to develop and grow to their fullest potential in all aspects of their school life. ISSA offers a dynamic, inclusive and progressive whole school support structure for all students whereby they have numerous opportunities to experience success – whatever the extent of their academic, emotional and developmental needs.

A Message From

Our Headmaster

Welcome to the website of the International School of South Africa.

This is a school which is unique in Southern Africa. We are situated in the historic town of Mahikeng, capital of the North West Province.

The School is a co-educational day and boarding school which offers the Primary and Secondary Cambridge international curriculum from ages 4 to post matric. Students are enrolled from up to 18 countries in Southern and Central Africa. The School celebrates this diversity and harnesses these collective energies for the betterment of all.

The School specialises in providing for the development of the whole child – academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Smaller classes enable teaching to be more personal and caring. We emphasise the core values of Respect for All, Hard Work, Honesty, Responsibility, Social Awareness and Compassion.
