Volleyball
Volleyball at ISSA continues to grow tremendously and has turned into one of the flagship sporting codes in the last few years. The expertise of our internationally qualified coaches has turned many non-sporting students into household players and motivated many others into playing the sport.
Our teams practice twice a week during the school term and we compete with some local and Gauteng Province schools. The performances and results from major fixtures and tournaments have been creditable so far. Currently our U17 boys and girls are on 3rd and 2nd respectively in the Gauteng League after six matches.
In June our U19 boys and girls are planning to tour Zimbabwe.
In August, we once again host the popular International Volleyball Festival which, this year, coincides with our 20th Anniversary celebrations. Schools from Botswana , Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe will rub shoulders on the day.
